Belly Piercing Guide: Everything You Need to Know

Belly Piercing Guide

Everything You Need to Know Before and After Getting Pierced

Belly button piercings, also known as navel piercings, are a timeless and stylish body modification that adds a touch of elegance to your look. Whether you’re considering your first piercing or looking to expand your collection, this guide will walk you through everything from the procedure and aftercare to choosing the perfect jewellery at Monster Piercing.

POSITION: Placed on the upper edge of the navel, where the skin folds naturally above the belly button.

JEWELLERY: Curved Belly Bars, Captive Bead Rings (BCR's), Spinal Belly Bars

STANDARD SIZE: 14G (1.6mm) or 16G (1.2mm) Thickness & 10-12mm Length.

DOWNSIZE: 8-10mm Length after healing for snug fit.

PAIN LEVEL: Moderate

HEALING TIME: 6-12 months

AFTERCARE: Clean piercing twice daily using a saline dipped cotton pad, gently pressing the area for a few minutes. Do not use alcohol or anti-septic creams as this can result in delayed healing.

PRO-TIP: Avoid tight clothing and heavy jewellery during the healing phase to minimise irritation, pressure, and the risk of migration or rejection.
